Mesa Verde Hiking Trip, Cortez, Colorado – June 26th – 29th

30 Jun

This trip has become very memorable trip for us in many ways. It was Amelie’s first “real” hiking experience. We hiked almost 9 miles (round trip) with steep up/down hills to the Spring House ruins. It took us almost all day. Amelie had learned to communicate with us when she has a soar spot inside her shoes by saying  “I have a hot spot!” so we can treat it before it gets worse. I don’t even remember how many times we had to remove her 2 layers of socks and hiking boots to take a look at her feet. LOL. We are so very proud of her to follow through without becoming a big pain for everyone. It was just so special for us, as parents, to witness her physical ability and mental strength in this hike. And of coursr the view was just stunning. We cannot thank enough to Opa (Ralph) to accommodate this entire trip and made everything very special for us. Also, it was very nice to get to know “Aunt Ellen”, especially for Amelie.

Amelie’s Student of the Month – April 14th, 2010

08 Jun

This was the second time she received “Student of the Month”.  Amelie also did the narrator for this “green” play performed by Ms. Tran’s class. It was just cute! Congrats, Ame and good job!

Woodcrest Spring Fling – May 27th, 2010

07 Jun

Children’s singing and dancing performance at Woodcrest. Amelie had performed on the several songs since she has been participating Chorus classes. The weather wasn’t really ideal for this but children’s spirit blew yucky weather away and made it really enjoyable.
